Build around the visitor's decision

A customer should be able to tell whether you do the job, serve their area and offer a useful next step. Start with those questions before deciding on colors or motion.

Website design starts at $400 one time. The SEO subscriptions below are optional and priced separately from your website quote.

Add ongoing search work when you need it

Every plan includes Google Business Profile work, citations built and cleaned up, and review requests after each job. Month to month, cancel by email.

What the link types mean
  • Placed articles (guest posts, DA 20+): articles on other people's sites, won through outreach, each linking to yours.
  • Platform pages (Web 2.0, DA 50+): pages we publish on large publishing platforms that point back to you.
  • Second-tier links (amplification): links aimed at those articles and pages, never at your site, so they get indexed and carry weight.
  • Each link shows up in your monthly report with its live address, the page it supports and its anchor text.

Search progress for a Richmond B2B service

B2B Services, Richmond. Citywide plan, 6 months.

  • 12 of 20 page one.
  • 15 qualified inquiries.

This SEO campaign involved 20 keywords, service pages and content gap analysis. The supplied record does not identify a website design project. Its 15 qualified inquiries have no stated monthly rate.

Client review

What working together felt like

"Competing in Richmond means competing with some very well-funded firms. This team didn't pretend otherwise; they built a strategy around high-intent long-tail terms where we could actually win, then expanded from there. Nine months in, we're page one for 15 terms and getting 20+ qualified inquiries a month. The transparency about what would take longer was what earned my trust."
Yvonne Chestnut, 5 out of 5

Request a website quote

From page plan to a site you own

We agree the pages and features first. You review the words and photos, then use the preview on your own phone. The quote sets the schedule around scope and the materials needed; an SEO delivery window is not a website launch promise.

Read the project steps
  1. Request a quote

Name your services, the places you serve and what bothers you about the current site. A written quote comes back by email, listing every page and feature.

  2. Agree the page plan

Before any design, we agree the pages: home, one per service, an area page only where there is something real to say, about and contact.

  3. Words and photos

You write and we edit for search, or we write and you check the facts. Gathering your own photos is often the slowest part.

  4. Build and review

You see each page at a preview address on your own phone and ask for changes by email or on a scheduled call.

  5. Launch

Old addresses are redirected to their new pages, the website link on your Business Profile is checked, and every form is tested.

  6. Keep it

The site, the domain and the logins are yours. An SEO plan is optional and runs month to month.

Example layouts

Three illustrative layouts to discuss

Illustrative examples: these fictional businesses show how page choices support customer tasks. Each phone layout has numbered annotations. These are design explanations, separate from the campaign results above.

Heating and cooling: help someone choose the right service

Illustrative layout: Henrico County

A heating and cooling company in Henrico: the home page

  1. Two doors on the first screen

One button for "no heat or no AC", one for a tune-up or a new system. An emergency and a price check need different next steps.

  2. The job and the county in the headline

"Heating and AC repair in Henrico County", in plain words, so the visitor and Google read the same thing.

  3. Reviews you can check

The star rating and review count from the Business Profile, linked to the profile itself.

  4. A card for each service

Each card opens its own page, and that page, not the home page, is what can rank for "furnace repair Glen Allen".

  5. Where the vans go

Glen Allen, Short Pump, Lakeside and the city, named only where true and matching the service areas on the profile.

  6. A form that fits a thumb

Name, phone or email, ZIP code and what is wrong. Every extra field is one more reason to give up.

Request a website quote for a page like this
Gift shop: help someone plan a visit

Illustrative layout: city shopping street

A gift shop on a street like Carytown: the home page

  1. Open now, and until when

Today's hours and the address at the top, matching the Business Profile. When the two disagree, someone walks up to a locked door.

  2. The shelves, in search words

Category pages named the way people search, such as "local art prints" or "Virginia-made gifts", instead of "Collections".

  3. Getting here

The block, the nearest cross street and where customers tend to park, for someone deciding on the way over.

  4. This week

One dated note about new stock or an event, so regulars have a reason to look again.

  5. Hold it for me

A short form to have an item set aside, or a link to buy online if the shop sells online.

  6. A footer that matches Google

Name, address and hours written exactly as on the Business Profile and the directories.

Accounting practice: explain the first consultation

Illustrative layout: downtown

An accounting practice downtown: the small-business services page

  1. Who it is for, in the first line

"Bookkeeping and tax preparation for restaurants and contractors", if that is who the practice serves best. A narrow line gives the page a search it can win.

  2. The people

Each accountant's name, photo and credentials. People want to know who will see their books.

  3. How fees work

A starting fee or a plain account of how pricing works, which saves both sides a call that goes nowhere.

  4. What to bring

A short list for the first meeting: a question people have before booking, answered in the words they search.

  5. Ask for a consultation

Name, email and the help needed. Never Social Security numbers or account details in a web form.

  6. Downtown, or on video

Parking notes, and whether a first meeting can be by video for a client in Chesterfield or Hanover.

Ranking and the call

What a Richmond website needs to rank, and to get the call

The first list gets a page found. The second decides whether the visitor gets in touch or goes back to the results.

To rank

What Google can read

  1. A page for each service, and for each place you can say something real about.
  2. The service and the place in the page title, the main heading and the first lines, written for a person.
  3. Quick loading on a phone. Use PageSpeed Insights to investigate slow pages.
  4. The same business name, address and hours as your Business Profile and the directories Google reads.
  5. Links between your own pages, so every service page is a tap or two from the home page.
  6. In time, links from other sites. A new site may have little history; an SEO plan addresses off-site work as well.

To get the call

What the visitor needs

  1. A way to reach you on the first screen of a phone.
  2. Your phone number as a tap-to-call link, next to a short form.
  3. Photos of your own work, vans, shop or people instead of stock.
  4. Prices, ranges or one plain line on how pricing works.
  5. Reviews quoted with the reviewer's name and linked to where they were left.
  6. What happens after the form: who replies, and roughly when.

Ranking also depends on work off the site. Our Richmond local SEO services cover the map: Business Profile, citations and reviews. The Richmond SEO company plans build the links, and the page on what a digital marketing agency in Richmond should cover explains where search work stops and ad work starts.

Questions

Before commissioning a website

Anything else goes to support@richmondseo.company or the assistant in the corner.

Ask on a call instead

What will my website cost?

Website projects start at $400 one time. The written quote identifies pages, copywriting and any features beyond a contact form. Booking systems, stores or additional content can change the scope. We agree those items before payment, so you can compare the proposed site with what you actually need.

Can I keep my current site and its addresses?

Often, yes. A useful existing page may need editing rather than replacement. For a rebuild, we record the old URLs, keep appropriate addresses and map changed pages to their replacements. Redirects reduce migration problems, but no redesign can promise unchanged rankings. We test the old addresses after launch.

Who owns the finished website?

You do. Keep the domain registered to your business and retain account ownership. We request separate access for the work rather than your passwords. Your quote should also distinguish the build from hosting, ongoing maintenance and future changes, so you know what to arrange after the initial project.

Can a plan this size compete in Richmond?

It depends on the searches you need to win. Starter suits a narrow target; Citywide covers more services. A crowded market may need Capital Region, Commonwealth or a custom quote. Fixed monthly deliverables keep prices predictable, but price alone cannot establish fit. The free snapshot checks your website and search priorities before recommending a plan.

When should I expect results, and are rankings guaranteed?

There is no ranking guarantee. Delivery windows describe the work, not a deadline for Google to move a page. Allow several months to assess search progress, with the starting position and competition in view. Review inquiries as well as rankings so that an improved position is connected to something your business needs.

Could you also work for a competitor?

Yes, we may serve competing businesses in the same area. Your data, reports and plans stay private and are never shared with another client. Tell us about a conflict before ordering so we can discuss it. The agreement does not reserve an industry or a territory for one business.

How do I cancel or try one month?

SEO plans run month to month. Cancel by email before the next month starts, or choose one month only, no subscription, at its listed price. Sending an order request does not charge you. We send a payment link by email, and you decide whether to proceed.

Who answers questions and what does the report contain?

Our team handles questions by email and scheduled calls on Eastern time. Requests receive a reply within one business day. The monthly link report lists the live URL, target page and anchor text so you can inspect each placement. We describe the report here rather than supplying a sample from another account.

How should I assess the link work?

Ask which pages receive links and read the placements themselves. Guest posts are outreach placements on sites we do not own; platform pages point to your site, and amplification links point to those supporting assets. These methods do not establish a risk-free ranking outcome. Discuss concerns before ordering and review the live URLs in your report.

Does search work help when people use AI answers?

Clear service information gives people useful material wherever they discover your business. We keep the website and business listings accurate and make customer questions easy to answer. No plan guarantees inclusion in an AI answer. Judge the service against qualified inquiries and agreed search goals, rather than treating an occasional AI mention as a result by itself.
